Breach near Rojhan inundates Nasirabad
ROJHAN: A breach occurred in a dyke near Rojhan due to flooding in the Indus River that inundated Nasirabad town, Geo News reported Monday.

According to the details, level of water rose in the rivers and nullas of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur due to heavy downpour at the mountainous region of Koh-e-Suleman last night, causing a breach near Rojhan area of Rajanpur today morning.

Nasirabad town was completely submerged in the floodwater while the residents started to migrate towards safer grounds.

Due to heavy rain at the Koh-e-Suleman mountainous range last night, flooding occurred in the rivers and nullas of Dera Ghazi Khan, Taunsa and Rajanpur, however, no damage was reported so far.

The floodwater is gradually receding in Jaffarabad and Nasirabad areas, but the affected residents are still facing a crucial situation due to shortage of potable water and food.

As the displaced persons are consuming contaminated water, skin and gastro diseases are another horror for the victims in the affected areas.
