Two bank robberies in an hour in Karachi
KARACHI: Two bank robberies occurred in less than an hour in the busiest business hub, and a guard also lost his life while resisting of the attempts in Bufferzone area on Friday, Geo News reported.

According to police, two bank robberies took place in Paposh Nagar and Bufferzone areas of the city today. The first heist occurred in the Bufferzone area during which one guard was killed while trying to foil the bid while the culprits fled with millions of rupees.

SSP Central Amir Farooqui told that five armed dacoits looted 1.5 million rupees from a private bank in sector 15-A of Bufferzone and fled from the scene. During the robbery, the guard of the bank tried to stop the culprits but they opened fire on him, killing the guard on the spot.

Police further told that the robbers took CCTV footage with them before fleeing from the scene.

The other dacoity took place in the Paposh Nagar area where the armed robbers looted more than two million rupees from another private bank.

It may be mentioned that it was the second robbery in half an hour in the city.
