Pakistan along with world celebrating Valentine's Day

PESHAWAR: Valentine's Day is being observed all over the world including Pakistan. It is celebrated on 14th February every year.

The day is being observed even in Peshawar besides Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other major cities/ towns. It is a very special occasion for sending gifts to loved ones.

Valentine's Day is a day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending cards, gifts or donations to charities. It is very common to present flowers on Valentine's Day.

Karachi is all geared up to celebrate Valentine’s Day with colorful parties, musical concerts and fashion shows. Renowned singer Sajjad Ali has specially arrived from Dubai to Karachi to perform in a function. On this day of hearts, Sindh Festival has organized a Ghazal night in which Ghulam Ali, Farida Khanum, Asif Mehdi and Humaira Channa are expected to perform.

According to reports, people have organized special dance parties at their homes and farmhouses and lovers have purchased and get stitched red clothes for this day.

On the other side, a section of showbiz celebrities are commemorating it as ‘Hijaab Day’.
