Pakistan’s special athletes return home

KARACHI: Pakistan’s special athletes on Wednesday returned home following their impressive performance at the Special Olympics in Los Angeles.

The special athletes who participated in different games won 33 medals in eight disciplines including aquatics, badminton, basketball, cycling, football, power-lifting, table tennis and tennis.

The players were accorded warm welcome upon their return with their families and relatives showering rose petals.

Special Olympics Pakistan (SOP) chairperson Ronak Lakhani congratulated the medal winners, saying the special children have once again brightened the country’s image.
