Unexpected rainfall in Karachi, Met forecasts intermittent rainfall till Tuesday morning

KARACHI: A little after 10:00PM on Thursday the southern metropolis received unexpected rainfall, with some areas receiving only a drizzle while heavy rainfall was reported from Shara-e-Faisal, I.I. Chundrigar road, Saddar, Numaish, Garden, Tariq road and surrounding areas.

Heavy rainfall was also reported from Federal B Area and Gulshan-e-Maymar.

After drizzling for a while, rainfall was also reported from Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, Gulistan-e-Johar, Rashid Minhas road and near the airport.

Due to the rainfall multiple feeders of the K-Electric tripped plunging the areas into darkness. According to latest updates, K-Electric teams have been deployed and are working to restore power to the affected areas.

The Met department has forecast showers to continue intermittently till Tuesday morning.
