Rangers lodge FIR against MQM's Media Cell in-charge over propaganda

KARACHI:  A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged on Wednesday against the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) media cell in charge Aminul haq over spread of propaganda against Rangers.

A paramilitary force officer on behalf of Rangers submitted the plea to the Azizabad police station stating that Aminul Haq was spreading propaganda against Rangers through social, print and electronic media. He also said that the move was demotivating the Rangers officers and negatively impacting their professional activities.

In the application, the appellant wrote that the recently produced anthem by Aminul Haq on social media targeted Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif, Director General ISI, Core Commander Karachi, and DG Rangers. The anthem contained the words "The enemy who made us cry, we will make them cry now."

Following the application, a case 150/2016 was registered against Aminul Haq. The area's SHO refrained from commenting on the issue.
