PM, Saudi defence minister pledge to further bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Defence Minister Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud Sunday held meetings with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, and exchanged views with them on regional peace and especially the situation in Middle East.

The Saudi defence minister and deputy crown prince called upon Premier Sharif at the PM House. Bilateral ties, affairs of mutual interest as well as regional and international issues also came under discussion at the meeting.

They pledged to further enhance the bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and strengthen their cooperation in diverse fields.

Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz also held a meeting with General Raheel Sharif, and exchanged views with him on regional peace and situation in the Middle East.

The Saudi defence minister, after his brief visit, left for the kingdom. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and the army chief saw Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz off.

Earlier, PM Nawaz Sharif accorded warm welcome to Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz upon arrival at the PM House.

 A number of federal ministers and parliamentarians, chiefs of the armed forces and other high-ups were present on the occasion.
