ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) offices were being demolished upon his directives.

The CM Sindh made the revelation during a conversation with Hamid Mir, the host of Geo Television’s show (Capital Talk).

Murad Ali Shah said that MQM leader Farooq Sattar took a commendable step abrogating the authority of party founder Altaf Hussain.

During the show, the chief minister lamented that Sindh is being neglected in the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) plan.

Today, three more illegally built offices of the MQM were razed in Karachi.

Korangi’s district administration decided to demolish 23 offices of MQM built on the government’s land.

The city administration continued its crackdown against the MQM over the August 22 speech by Altaf Hussain having anti-Pakistan remarks. It has demolished various sector offices of the party and removed pictures of the party chief.

So far, more than 18 MQM offices have been demolished with above 218 sealed in Karachi.

Officials had said that 178 of party unit offices and 22 sector offices were situated on encroached lands. They had said that a decision was made to immediately demolish 32 of these offices, while others would be razed gradually.
