Woman martyred in unprovoked Indian firing across Working Boundary

SHAKARGARH/MUZAFFARABAD: An intense exchange of fire along the Working Boundary in Shakargarh is underway after the Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing on Thursday night, which resulted in the martyrdom of a woman and left seven others wounded.

"Intense and heavy exchange of fire between Pakistani and Indian forces is continued since 8 pm in Shakargarh along the Working Boundary," said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). Pakistan Rangers has been befittingly responding to Indian aggression and inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy.

On the Pakistani side, a woman has been martyred and seven others wounded due to Indian firing.

A couple of hours earlier, Indian Border Security Force (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC) violating the ceasefire agreement.

The Indian forces violated ceasefire through unprovoked fire in Hotspring, Jandrot and Nakial sectors along the LoC, according to the ISPR. Pakistan Army gave a matching response to Indian provocation.

The retaliatory fire targeted Indian posts following which clouds of smoke were seen rising from there.

On Thursday morning, five civilians were injured due to unprovoked Indian firing and shelling in Harpal and Chaprar sectors. The exchange of fire via both light and heavy weapons had begun last night and continued for 11 hours, the ISPR had said.

In retaliation, Pakistan Rangers inflicted multiple casualties on the enemy.
