CHARSADDA: Two suspected suicide bombers of the Charsadda sessions court attack which killed seven people, can be seen in CCTV footage available with Geo News.

In the footage two men wearing a shawl covering their upper body can be seen. Police claim that when they were asked to take off their shawl for checking, they refused to do so, raising suspicion that they were hiding a suicide jacket underneath.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police foiled a major terrorist attack on Wednesday, when three suicide bombers tried to enter a session court in Charsadda. Police shot dead two suicide bombers, while one blew himself up.

A policeman Fazl-ur-Rabi who witnessed the attack told Geo News on Wednesday, that the suicide bomber was a fair-skinned young man.

He said that he was guarding the court’s gate when he saw two persons coming towards the court. “One of the persons was clad in a chadaar,” he remarked.

“I called him from afar and told him to take off the chadaar as we don’t allow them [chadaars] inside [the court]," he recalled.

However, the man kept defying orders of the police. “When I told him it to take it off two to three times and he didn’t listen, I ordered one of the sepoys to shoot him,” he said.

“As soon as the sepoy pointed his rifle at him, the man blew himself up,” recalls the police officer.

The attack is part of the series of back-to-back terror incidents across the nation in which more than a 100 people have been killed so far.
