KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah left for Islamabad on Friday to attend a session of the Legal Committee on Common Interest.

Prior to his departure, the CM said, that he is aware that according to article 154 the federal government does not have the authority to determine prices and distribution of oil and gas.

“I will fight Sindh’s case myself,” he said, adding that he is an engineer and the son of a lawyer.

“The constitution guarantees that the first right on oil and gas is of the province,” he said. “After the province meets its needs it can supply fuel to other parts of the country.”

To elaborate this constitutional point a sub-committee has been formed, a spokesperson for the CM House said.
