Radd-ul-Fasaad: 35 suspects arrested in operations across country

Around 35 suspects have been apprehended across the country in the last 24 hours, as Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad continues in full swing.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), around six intelligence based operations (IBOs) and 35 cordon and search operations were conducted across the country.

Moreover, joint search and intelligence based operations were conducted by Punjab Rangers, police and intelligence agencies in Punjab.

Fourteen suspects including one Afghan national and one 1 Baloch sub nationalist worker were held during operations in DG Khan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Attock.

Weapons, ammunition, currency and foreign passports were also recovered from the suspects’ possession.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched on February 22, after series back-to-back terrorist attacks in the country, in which more than 100 people lost their lives.

The operation includes a broad-spectrum security, counter-terrorism operations in Punjab, and continuation of ongoing operations across the country.

According to the Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of the Pakistan Army, the operation aims include the elimination of the residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made so far and ensuring the security of Pakistan’s borders.
