Law enforcement agencies detained 10, 25 suspects in Karachi, Lahore, respectively

KARACHI: Seven suspects, including an extortionist, were taken into custody during a search operation conducted late Wednesday night in Mobina Town here, police sources revealed.

Suspect Haq Nawaz has been involved in numerous cases of extortion, security officials said.

In addition, suspects Jahangir and Yasir have been detained for violating Temporary Residents Act, while arrestees Abdul Qadir, Arif, Arshad, and Abid were wanted for various street crimes, police stated.

Security authorities mentioned that cases have been registered against the respective suspects.

On the other hand, three other suspects were arrested during a search operation carried out on Wednesday night here in Lyari's Baghdadi area. They have been identified as Gordan, Anwar, and Sajjad, police explained.

Security officers said that weapons and contraband have been recovered from the detainees, who were allegedly involved in street crimes and drug-selling activities.

Combined operation in Lahore

Police and law enforcement agencies conducted search operations in various areas of Lahore on Wednesday night.

18 suspects were taken into custody from Hanjarwal area, while seven were arrested in Kahna area, police commented.
