Rain subsides hot weather in Lahore

LAHORE: As another spell of rain subsided hot weather in Lahore and brought respite to locals, it also wreaked havoc in straw houses and inundated streets.

According to the Met department, more remain is expected during the last days of Ramazan, while the weather is likely to remain pleasant on Eid days.

In Lahore, the system of winds started in the morning and dark clouds covered the sky. This was followed by rainfall, recorded to be 24 millimetres in the city and 22mm around the airport.

The rainfall suspended power supply in many areas, including Harbanspura, Mughalpura, Nisbat Road, Gawalmandi and Sahafi Colony. It also affected the flight schedules.
