SRINAGAR: Indian troops martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district on Monday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops killed the youth during a brutal military operation in the Naugam area of the district.

An Indian army officer has reportedly stated that the youth were militants who were killed after clashing with the troops.

On the other hand, in the Pantha Chhoke area of Srinagar, several people, including two women were injured after Indian forces’ personnel fired teargas shells on protesters.

The protests had erupted after the troops of Indian Central Reserve Police Force thrashed a driver, Firdous Ahmad, on Monday morning.

The protests led to a massive traffic jam on Srinagar-Jammu highway, leaving thousands of vehicles stranded.
