SHO killed in exchange of fire in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: A Station House Officer (SHO) was killed on Wednesday during a police operation in the Maju area of Charsadda after suspects opened fire at the policemen.

The Parang police said that policemen conducted an operation in the area against suspects for possessing illegal weapons. 

The suspects opened fire on the police during the operation, killing SHO Ayub Khan and injuring two personnel.

A suspect was killed in retaliatory fire by the police, DSP Iftikhar Shah said.

Police added that they are conducting an operation in the area to nab the suspects.
