RAWALPINDI: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Wednesday said it will take at least another year to stabilise Pakistan's economy.

Speaking to the media in Rawalpindi, Rasheed said, “I confess these are trying times and that there is inflation, but it will take another year to stabilise the economy.”

“I have told the prime minister there is unemployment and inflation in the country and that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari are responsible for it,” he added.

The railways minister further said the opposition is leaving the country to save their looted wealth.

Rasheed, once again reiterated that he will retire from politics after the completion of the Nullah Lai project.
