GHOTKI: Pakistan People’s Party candidate Mohammad Bakhsh Meher defeated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf backed supporter Ahmed Ali in the byelection held for NA-205 seat in Ghotki.

According to the unconfirmed and unofficial results of 290 polling stations, PPP’s Meher bagged more than 89,000 votes.

On the other hand, Independent candidate Ahmed Ali took 72,499 votes.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto spoke to media in Ghotki and congratulated Bakhsh Meher. In his address, Bilawal said that the people have given a clear message that they have made their decision.

He said that the win has marked the beginning of PPP’s victories.
