LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid paid a visit to the Services Hospital on Wednesday to check up on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is being treated there.

After she visited the hospital, Dr Yasmin spoke to the media and said that the PTI government did not hold any grudges against Nawaz.

“My sympathies are with Nawaz Sharif,” she said. “We do not hold any grudge against him.”

Dr Yasmin said that both Nawaz and his physician were satisfied with the treatment that they were getting at Services Hospital.

Nawaz was rushed to Services Hospital from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore detention centre on Monday night after his health suddenly deteriorated.

Earlier, he was shifted from Central Jail Kot Lakhpat to NAB Lahore building at Thokar Niaz Beg after the bureau got his 14-day physical remand on Oct 11 in connection with the Chaudhry Sugar Mills corruption case investigation.
