Shaheed Benazirabad declared calamity hit
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has declared Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah) district as calamity hit after heavy rains lashed the district for the last two days.

The Chief Minister visited Nawabshah on Thursday where he announced a grant of Rs. 20 million and 20 trucks of ration for the district.

He met with member of National Assembly (MNA) Faryal Talpur at the Zardari House. District Coordination Officer Syed Jamal Mustafa briefed him on the situation.

Faryal Talpur also briefed the Chief Minister about the rain devastation in Nawabshah and requested him to support the people of the city.

She also apprised Qaim Ali Shah about the drainage problems in different parts of the city including Dorr Town.

Responding to the MNA's request, the Chief Minister announced Rs. 30 million drainage schemes for Nawabshah and Rs. 20 million for Dorr area.

Moreover, he also pledged funds for laying asphalt road on the bypass of Nawabshah.
