KKH blocked due to landslide

HUNZA: Landslides and debris flow at several places has blocked the Gilgit- Hunza section of Karakoram Highway for all types of traffic.

According to local people, a major landslide took place near Chalt, blocking the road and stranding hundreds of commuters. Blockades due to debris flow and landslides have been reported from at least four other locations of Hunza Nagar.

The CRBC employees have, reportedly, started working for re-opening of the road. According to National Highway Authority, clearing of the road between Chalt and Goro (Jaglote) might be completed by Monday evening
