Altaf inquires after President's health

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain telephoned President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday and inquired after his health.

Altaf Hussain prayed for the health of the President, who thanked the former for the gesture, spokesperson for the President Farhatullah Babar said.

Both the leaders had an exchange of views on matters including the country's political situation, law and order in Karachi, devastation caused by floods in Sindh and Punjab and dengue virus epidemic in Punjab. They expressed grief on the loss of life as a result of floods and spread of dengue virus.

The President and MQM Chief agreed that the current situation of the country called for having greater unity and solidarity.
