Clarke welcomes return of international cricket to Pakistan
KARACHI: The President of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Giles Clarke expressed his pleasure on the arrival of first Test playing team Zimbabwe to Pakistan in six years.

He also praised the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shaharyar Khan for his diplomatic skills.

I am extremely pleased for all my Pakistani friends and all cricket lovers in Pakistan. I wish all an excellent series and great cricket Giles Clarke informed this correspondent he told a private
television channel on Wednesday.

I have congratulated my friend Shaharyar Khan on his leadership and calm diplomacy in accomplishing this cherished goal. I congratulate Wilson Manase Chairman of Zimbabwe Cricket for his leadership and the Zimbabwe team and management as well he said.

Giles Clarke also headed the task force constituted by the ICC to look into the revival of international cricket in Pakistan. The task force has submitted its recommendations with the ICC in this regard. (APP)
