KARACHI: While Pakistani cricket fans have made headlines in recent months for their unique styles of celebration, cheer, and enthusiasm, another cricket fan's act of generosity has come to light after an Australian fan expressed gratitude to a Karachi-based cricket enthusiast for helping him in getting into the National Stadium by offering him a free ticket, Geo Super reported.

The foreign cricket fan named Rodrick told Geo Super that he was given a free ticket to watch the first day’s play at the National Stadium by a Karachi citizen.

"My name is Rodrick, and I came here especially to watch Pakistan's Test match against Australia," he said.

"Someone informed me that I could purchase a ticket outside the stadium. However, when I came here, I discovered that there were no tickets for sale. Additionally, security denied me entry to the stadium. Then, this local guy approached me and offered me a free ticket, and here I am now, inside the stadium, watching the match," he said.

Rodrick stated that while it was unfortunate to see the Pindi test match end in a draw, he liked watching cricket in Pakistan.

"It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to watch cricket in Pakistan. Sadly, the Pindi Test ended in a stalemate, but I had a fantastic experience there," said the Australian cricket fan.

"Now, I'm looking forward to watching some competitive cricket here, and I'm rooting for Australia," he added.
