Prince George pays tribute to Prince Philip

Duke of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son Prince George joined his parents at Westminster Abbey to pay tribute to his great-grandfather Prince Philip.

Prince George attended Prince Philip’s memorial service with the older great-grandchildren of the Duke of Edinburgh including his sister Princess Charlotte.

The eight-year-old future king enjoyed a close relationship with Prince Philip.

Prince Philip's eldest grandson Peter’s daughters Savannah, 11, and Isla Phillips, 10, are also be in attendance along with Mia, Zara and Mike Tindall's eight-year-old daughter.

A thanksgiving service is taking place on Tuesday for Queen Elizabeth II´s late husband, Prince Philip, nearly a year after his death and funeral held under coronavirus restrictions.

The service, at Westminster Abbey in central London, will "give thanks for the Duke of Edinburgh´s dedication to family, nation and Commonwealth."
