ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Energy Muhammad Hammad Azhar said Friday he did not faint, but confirmed he was unwell after reports surfaced he had passed out.

The reports claimed that the federal minister fainted due to dehydration and was provided first aid at the PMO.

"Due to fasting, I was dizzy for a few minutes. Alhamdulillah, I am fine now. I thank all my friends for praying for my health," Azhar said, who was restored as the federal minister after the Supreme Court's order.

The federal minister was at the Prime Minister's Office for a cabinet meeting, which was called after more than a month's hiatus — as the NA session to vote on the no-trust motion will take place tomorrow at 10:30am.

But later, the no-confidence vote was dismissed and the National Assembly was dissolved. However, the government's strategy could not last as the Supreme Court restored the NA and nullified all actions from April 3-7.

The prime minister and his close allies will have a busy day today as, after the federal cabinet meeting, they have a parliamentary party meeting as well — in the lead up to the no-confidence vote on Saturday.
