Mary Cosby, star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC), has revealed that global superstar Rihanna personally reached out after a deeply emotional episode aired last November.
The episode showcased a raw moment between Cosby and her son, Robert Jr., who admitted to using drugs since the age of 16 and credited his mother as the reason he didn’t take his own life.
In a recent interview with Vulture, the 52-year-old reality star reflected on the outpouring of support she received following the episode. “I heard from all of [the cast], and even other Housewives reached out to me. Rihanna reached out too!” Cosby shared.
According to Cosby, the Grammy-winning artist not only reached out when the episode aired but also sent a heartfelt Christmas message to her and Robert Jr.
In regards to this, she said, “On Christmas Day. Merry Christmas, and I love you and Robert Jr.’ It’s so meaningful to receive love from someone of her caliber,” Cosby said.
As per Daily Mail’s claims, the episode highlighted Robert Jr.'s struggles with substance abuse, including cocaine and Xanax, as well as his battle with suicidal thoughts.
Moreover, Cosby encouraged her son to “recognize it, own it, and change it,” a moment that resonated with viewers and she later confirmed that Robert Jr. entered rehab, completing a month-long program with success.
In this regard, she stated, “He’s doing so good. I’m so proud of him.”
Rihanna, a self-professed fan of the Real Housewives franchise, previously expressed her admiration for RHOSLC, praising the show for its compelling narratives, as per the publication.
