Amal Clooney opens up about 'greatest joy' in her married life

Amal Clooney is sharing an insider look at her married life with George Clooney.

The human rights lawyer, 47, got candid about her marriage and parenting in a recent interview with Glamour.

"I have a partner in life who is so supportive of what I do. So I don't feel like I have to apologise for it or rein it in," Amal began in her rare comment.

She recalled how George encouraged her to keep working even after becoming a mother, "I remember when I became a mom, which was obviously a new frontier, [George] was the first one to say, 'I know you've got this speech at the Security Council. You have to go, I've got the kids, don't worry about it."

The couple, who wed in 2014, now share 7-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. At another point in the interview, Amal called her family her “greatest joy.”

"I feel so incredibly lucky to share every day with him. And now we're four. And I don't take any of it for granted. I treasure the laughter and the joy that I get from just being with them." the mom-of-two added.

She also spoke about protecting her children’s privacy and raising them away from the spotlight at their home in Provence, France.

"We do the best we can to minimise any impact on our children. We don't put our children out there, we've never put their photo out there or anything like that," she told the publication.

The couple met through mutual friends in Italy in 2013, a year before marrying.
