Kanye West just cancelled his concert in South Korea.
According to Korea JoongAng Daily, Coupang, the South Korean e-commerce company and ticket outlet, Interpark announced that concert had been cancelled and the sales of Yeezy merch suspended “due to recent controversies involving the artist.”
It wasn’t explained which controversies were being referred to however they did clarify that all the tickets sold for the gig, which was to be held at Incheon’s Munhak Stadium, would be refunded.
It is pertinent to mention that Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye, has displayed rather controversial behaviour in multiple aspects.
From letting his wife, Bianca Censori stand nude at the 2025 Grammys to posting unhinged and antisemitic social media rants via X, formerly Twitter, the 47-year-old has made headlines.
In March, he caused outrage by wearing a KKK outfit and a swastika necklace, claiming he never wanted to have children with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children.
In May, Kanye released a song entitled Heil Hitler, which instantly became a "summer anthem" for the neo Nazi groups, adding to the controversies he was surrounded with.
