Meghan Markle has been called out over her "mixed messaging" to customers of her brand As Ever.
When Meghan’s brand was launched in April, the products sold out in less than an hour. Now, she has announced that she’s restocking in June.
But the announcement came the same day as a bonus episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, featuring guest Tina Knowles came out. During her talk with the matriarch, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, said she was putting a pause on launching products from the brand.
"Let's wait until we are completely stable and we have everything we need," she said.
PR guru Natalie Trice is criticizing the inconsistency in Meghan’s statements and argues that "consistency and truth are everything" when it comes to launching a brand successfully.
She told Mail Online: "Once again it would seem that Meghan is sending mixed messages to her audience, something one would hope would've been resolved by now, as it's not the first time.”
“People need to feel confident that her brand has a clear plan and direction and that these comments and stunts aren't just to gather attention and likes, she needs to be creating legacy," she continued.
She added: "Consistency and truth are everything and they go hand in hand when it comes to building trust and loyalty which I think she is trying to do but not quite getting it right.."
Meghan Markle launched her brand As Ever on April 2, 2025, after her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, was released on Netflix in March.
