Meghan Markle's friend, Christopher Bouzy, who previously exposed online propaganda and a coordinated hate campaign against the Duchess of Sussex, has defended Prince Harry's wife.
In an interview with Newsweek, the social media analyst said a harassment campaign against Meghan Markle and her family was fueled by ridiculous lies spread online for years.
Bouzy emphasized the real-world impact of sustained conspiracy harassment, asking people to consider how it would feel to have their "happiest and most vulnerable moments" transformed into "ammunition for hate."
He also highlighted the broader societal damage, noting that when conspiracy theories flourish, "they corrode our collective grasp on reality and decency."
Bouzy is head of Bot Sentinel, a social media analysis company that has investigated the organised trolling directed at Meghan online.
His research identified dedicated social media accounts systematically targeting the Duchess.
He also featured in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan, which aired in December 2022, where he discussed his findings about the harassment campaign.
Speaking to the publication, he said: "It would be easy to laugh at such absurdity if it weren't so destructive.
