Duchess Sophie shines in Kate Middletons absence

Duchess Sophie on Thursday visited the Central School of Ballet as part of her royal duties.

A statement issued by the royal family said, "As Patron since 2003, The Duchess toured The Countess of Wessex Studios, which were named in recognition of her longstanding patronage and support of the school."

It said, "During the visit, Her Royal Highness watched rehearsals for an upcoming summer performance, toured the Wardrobe Area, and met staff and students from the school."

The Duchess of Edinburgh and Prince Edward frequently represent King Charles as part of their royal duties, showcasing their support for the monarchy. 

According to reports, the couple may take on key roles during King William's future reign. 

Currently, the Duchess of Edinburgh is one of the busiest female members of the royal family, with her official engagements regularly featured on the royal family's Instagram account.
