'Grey's Anatomy' season 22: A familiar face set to return

Dr. Addison Montgomery is scrubbing back in new season of the long-running show, Grey’s Anatomy.

Kate Walsh will reprise her role as the beloved OB/GYN and neonatal surgeon in season 22 of the medical drama.

Walsh’s cameo will be in episode titled, Strip That Down airing January 29, 2026.

She last appeared in a multi-episode arc during season 18 and 19, where she was central to the post Roe v. Wade storyline alongside Dr. Miranda Bailey.

Her return continues the show’s tradition of bring back fan-favourite characters, Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) also reappearing this season.

The 58-year-old originally exited the series in 2007 to lead the spinoff Private Practice.

However, she has remained a recurring presence in Grey’s Anatomy over the years and has stayed on of the fans’ beloved surgeons.

Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) is also set to return to the show following her hiatus after episode aired on October 16.

It is pertinent to note that apart from the medical world, she shone in movies Emily in Paris and The Umbrella Academy.

Her next role is in Steve Pink’s upcoming feature comedy What The F*ck Is My Password?!
