Timothy Busfield has been dropped by his talent agency, Innovative Artists, just hours after he made his first court appearance in the ongoing child abuse investigation.
The news was discovered on the same day as the disgraced actor and director’s first arraignment in court, January 14.
Published by Deadline, the report made note of the fact that Busfield had “a fair sized team handling his career” at the company he had been a client of since “several years”.
Appearing via a Zoom link amid his incarceration at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque, the West Wing alum was presented before a judge on charges related to sexual offences against a seven-year-old boy from the set of The Cleaning Lady TV series.
While from the set of the same Fox show, the 68-year-old celebrity is facing “allegations of multiple incidents with two young boys,” whom he is said to have directed among the multiple episodes helmed by him.
The Emmy-winning actor initially fled his home after the accusations first surfaced, however he drove himself to Albuquerque on January 13 and turned himself over.
It was further reported that “just before going to the authorities,” he had claimed in a self-published video message, “I did not do anything to those little boys.”
He has since been accused of similar offences against an anonymous 16-year-old girl during an audition years ago, according to her father.
Timothy Busfield is reportedly scheduled for his next court hearing in “no more than five business days”.
