King Charles releases statement as good news heals wounds

King Charles' team issued a significant statement after sharing positive news with fans.

On April 1, the royal family issued an update on Princess Anne's latest important engagement on social media.

Several photos have been shared from Princess Royal's visit to The King’s Royal Hussars at Salisbury Plain Training Area.

As per the Palace's officials, she met "troops and watched the regiment’s training exercises in action.

"HRH spoke to soldiers about the four-week training programme, before watching exercises including the coordination of tanks, infantry and drones.

"The Princess has had an association with The King’s Royal Hussars for over fifty years, becoming Colonel-in-Chief when the regiment was first created in 1969."

It is pertinent to note that the Palace shared a message after Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips and his fiancée, Harriet Sperling, announced their intimate wedding plans.

The happy event will take place at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, on Saturday, 6th June 2026.

It is a first delightful event in the family after back-to-back setbacks due to Andrew's scandals.
