Princess Kate has been in the headlines since the future Queen announced that she completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, leaving fans in awe.
The purpose behind her trek is to raise awareness about how holistic cancer care is as important as clinical treatment.
Having fought cancer herself, the Princess of Wales urged people to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a hospital where she was treated as well.
While sharing the importance of holistic therapies, Kate Middleton wrote, "Through this challenge, I want to raise awareness for the deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare."
She added, "Holistic therapies complement clinical pathways and support patients' ability to maintain their wellbeing, resilience and quality of life during an exceptionally difficult time."
For the unversed, holistic healthcare works for the betterment of body, mind, spirit and emotions rather than only focusing on medical treatment.
Similarly, Kate’s father-in-law, King Charles, is reportedly a big supporter of homoeopathy and spiritual connections to fight a disease.
Author Edward Ernst earlier shared that the King “takes a great interest in [alternative medicine].”
He told The Scientist in 2022 that the monarch "wants to use – as much as possible – alternative medicine in the NHS nationally and in medicine globally.”
It appears that Princess Kate has taken a leaf out of her grandfather’s book with this new mission.
