King Charles extended warm wishes to his grandson, Prince Louis, amid the never-ending distance from Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
On April 23, the Prince and Princess of Wales released the official birthday portrait of their youngest child, who turned 8.
The monarch's team shared the same post on the royal family's official Instagram account with a special message.
"Happy Birthday to Prince Louis," the note reads.
It is important to note that King Charles shares a close bond with the Waleses' children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
But, sadly, since the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the UK, the Sussexes' kids, Archie and Lilibet, did not get a chance to grow closer to their grandpa.
It is often reported that the King would love to meet more of Harry's little ones in his lifetime.
