Olivia Rodrigo goes Instagram official? PDA with new beau turns head

Olivia Rodrigo may not have hard-launched her new romance, but fans think the message is loud and clear.

The Grammy winner was spotted getting cozy with rumoured boyfriend Julian Croonenberghs during a relaxed park date in Brooklyn on July 26, with the pair looking completely wrapped up in each other. 

Hand-in-hand strolls soon turned into cuddles on the grass, where Rodrigo leaned back into Croonenberghs' arms before the two were seen sweetly kissing each other's hands.

The singer kept things casual in denim cut-offs, a black tank top and a baseball cap, while the private equity associate opted for a laid-back red pinstriped tee and trainers. 

The low-key outing is the latest in a string of sightings after the pair were reportedly seen together around New York City and even photographed by a fan at Iceland's airport earlier this month.

Rodrigo also gave fans a peek at her Iceland getaway on TikTok while lip-syncing to her new single, Stupid Song. 

Sharp-eyed followers quickly noticed what appeared to be a man's hand filming the video, with one commenting, "Mind you she filmed this with her new boyfriend."

Croonenberghs keeps a relatively private life despite an impressive résumé that includes roles at Goldman Sachs and Hg, as well as a stint with the U.S. men's national field hockey team.

The romance comes just weeks after Rodrigo released You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love, an album many fans believe reflects on her split from Louis Partridge. 

While she hasn't confirmed the inspiration, she previously told Pitchfork, “Obviously started out writing with all these hopes—like, ‘This is gonna be a 100 percent love album.’ And obviously it didn’t end up that way—you can read between the lines on that one.”

Reflecting on love earlier this year, Rodrigo also told Cosmopolitan, “Things happen the way that they’re supposed to happen. It’s not supposed to be white-knuckle.”
