Palace releases video as Princess Anne honoured by Glasgow

Princess Anne, hardest-working royal, received hero's welcome as she stunned Glasgow with surprise appearance, visiting the headquarters on Thursday, July 30.

The royal family and the Glasgow 2026 honoured the Princess Royal for her unwavering commitment to public service, jointly sharing a video on their official Instagram accounts.

“A pleasure to welcome HRH The Princess Royal to Glasgow 2026 HQ on Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games,” the video was captioned.

Princess Anne reunited with charming Duchess Sophie at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Scotland. Their spouses were also in attendance. King Charles' sister was seated a few places along from them.

The Commonwealth Games are held every four years and feature athletes from across the British Commonwealth competing in a selection of sports.

Zara Tindall' mother dazzled in a practical ensemble of trench coat, blue denim jeans and her signature sporty wraparound sunglasses.

Edward, serving in his capacity as vice-patron of Commonwealth Sport, appeared wholly absorbed by the action on the track, as Sophie was photographed leaning towards Anne during the events.

It is uncommon to see King Charles's two youngest siblings working side by side, as their packed diaries rarely align.
