Taylor Swift ignites 'SNL' speculations ahead of season 52

Taylor Swift seems to have announced her return to Saturday Night Live, without actually announcing it, as the show returns for Season 52.

The 36-year-old pop superstar gave Swifties a whole moodboard full of Easter Eggs during her Law & Order skit at the Emmy Awards, and one of the clues was a poster of SNL right behind her.

While no one addressed the elephant in the room for being too obvious, Swift clearly said that sometimes the clues are hiding in "plain sight" which makes fans believe that the SNL hosting gig might be real.

Taking to social media, Swifties gathered together for a discussion and shared pictures, writing, "or wait yall what if she’s hosting snl again… its right behind her in plain sight."

Another noted, "She’s going to preform on SNL this week a song from the vault off debut and also tell us when it’s dropping! Oct 13!!"

Noting another post-it on the board, one Swiftie wrote, "lol 'Musical Guest Sting?' Note is so funny," with one adding, "Is she gonna be hosting Saturday Night Live for the season’s premiere maybe with Sting?"

Someone chimed in, "'Hidden in plain sight' is also a lyric from Dear Reader which is a track 20 and that equals debut!!" and "wait shes actually insane for this."

A fan exclaimed, "LETS GOOOOOOO," while another penned, "she might host if she’s up to release something previously."

Another theorised, "Dakota is hosting soon. Maybe Taylor will appear?" given their close friendship. 

Despite all the theories and fan-frenzy, no official update has been released by either Swift or SNL.
