Prince Harry refuses to join Palace-Spencer row in fresh statement

Prince Harry is set to make his first public appearance amid growing tensions within the Palace, as Charles Spencer prepares to release a revealing book.

The brother of Princess Diana penned a memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, which he called "a brother's simple tribute to an extraordinary sister."

The book, which is set to be released on September 22, has already been in the headlines following the release of its first preview.

Spencer mentioned a heated conversation he had with Charles after the tragic passing of Princess Diana in 1997. 

Palace also responded to the call mentioned by Spencer with a statement that reads, "While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss."

Amid the growing tensions, the Duke of Sussex's Invictus Games team shared the list of nominees set to be honoured today at the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards this evening. 

The Awards will "celebrate the people whose courage, commitment and contribution continue to make a difference across the Movement.

Invictus Foundation's team shared the names of 14 individuals and organisations that "have made a difference with their resilience, philanthropy, commitment to the community and contribution to the wider Invictus Movement."

It appears that Prince Harry 'refused' to join the ongoing Palace-Spencer row by stepping up to celebrate the Invictus community.
