ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has assured Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain of redressing the reservations of the coalition partner in Karachi.
According to the details, President Zardari held a telephonic conversation with Altaf Hussain following the decision of MQM to boycott President’s address to the joint sitting of the parliament.
MQM announced of boycotting President’s address over growing incidents of extortion in Karachi city.
Earlier, MQM MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi also stressed that only President Zardari could stop extortion in Karachi.
Protests were also held in and outside the Sindh Assembly as the MQM and Karachi traders announced that they would be observing a black day in the city on Saturday.
