Lahore: Woman suffers acid attack

LAHORE: Some unknown motorcyclists injured a 28-year-old woman by throwing acid on her near Machis Factory in Shahdara Town police precincts Monday night, Geo News reported.

The injured woman was identified as Robina Bibi. The police said Robina was going to see her relatives along with her brother when unidentified motorcyclists approached them from behind and threw acid on Robina.

As a result, Robina sustained serious burn injuries. She was taken to the Mayo Hospital for treatment, where doctors stated her to be in a critical condition.

The Shahdara Town Police said they have not been approached by the affected family for registration of a case.
