PESHAWAR: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said Monday that his party would not support the government’s bills on contempt of court and dual nationality.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Rehman said that the bills were introduced to save a few people. He added that if the dual nationality bill was approved, a person with Indian nationality could also become a member parliament. “Under the constitution a person with dual nationality cannot become a member of parliament.”
When asked about the DPC long march, Rehman replied that the council had not contacted the JUI-F. “The JUI-F is against the resumption of NATO supply and will stage a nationwide protest on July 13,” he said.
