YDA warns of boycott 'if demo sabotaged'
LAHORE: Leaders of the Young Doctors Association on Monday threatened to close all the services in hospitals if the government tried to ‘sabotage’ their sit-in on November,7 outside the Chief Minister House, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference, YDA Secretary Syed Nasir Abbas said they would end their protest and sit-in if the government showed notification regarding approval of their demands.

He said that the government officials and bureaucracy played negative role negative role in approving the demands of the doctors.

Nasir announced that the doctors would not give protocol to the government functionaries and would treat them in general wards of the hospitals they ever visited.

Answering a question, he said that Rs 1,000 had been collected from each doctor to succeed the sit-in.

Sources in the Punjab government told Geo News that it was mulling over to move the Lahore High Court against the planned sit-in of protesting doctors in the greater interest of patients.
