Dr Asim to get legal noticed served to Ghiyas Paracha

ISLAMABAD: Advisor for Petroleum, Dr Asim Hussain Wednesday clarified that he had no stake in the business of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and that he was in the process of having a legal notice served on Ghiyas Paracha, Chairman Supreme Council All Pakistan CNG Association.

"He (Ghiyas Paracha) will have to prove the allegations (in the court of law)," Dr Asim said while talking to Geo News here.

He expressed a resolve to continue fighting against the CNG cartels and gas pilferers, adding the country was confronting a genuine shortage of gas.

Earlier, Ghiyas Paracha had accused the Petroleum Advisor of creating an artificial shortage of CNG to pave the way for establishing the latter's own business of LPG.

However, Dr Asim Husain today brushed aside the above accusation, saying he was not running any business that involved LPG but added that LPG air mix and projects involving import of LPG assumed national level importance to overcome the crisis of gas shortage.
