LAHORE: The federal government has appointed Aftab Sultan, senior officer of grade 22, as Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab, Geo News reported.
A notification for the appointment of Aftab Sultan as IG Punjab has also been issued here Friday.
Aftab was serving as Commandant at National Police Academy (NPA) Islamabad. He is known as professional and honest police officer.
He was RPO Sargodha in former president Pervez Musharraf’s tenure and had left the post over differences regarding the referendum.
