ISLAMABAD: The government has slashed prices of petroleum products, bringing down the price of petrol by Rs4.72 per litre and diesel by Rs2.53 with effect from May 1, Geo News reported Tuesday.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification, making the revised prices of POL effective from 12 AM (May 1).
According to the notification, petrol price has been ratcheted down by Rs4.72 to Rs97.59 per litre, and diesel by Rs2.53 to Rs106.06 a litre.
Similarly, the rate of Kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs4.09 to Rs94.17 a litre; light diesel by Rs4.22 to Rs89.06 per litre and; the new price of High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) has been fixed at Rs123.57 a litre, down by Rs8.40.
