ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majeed Tuesday urged the United Nations and International community to take notice of violations by Indian troops on Line of Control (LoC).
"Indian border security forces repeated as well as wanton violations of LoC ceasefire agreement were tantamount to triggering a war in the region", said he.
Addressing a press conference here in Kashmir House, he said that both the government of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were against war and wanted to resolve Kashmir issue according to the resolutions of United Nations (UN).
He said that UN should send an observer mission to monitor the situation on LoC.
While expressing sadness over the silence of international community on this issue, he said that at least 15 civilians had been martyred so far, whereas Pakistan Army had also suffered losses owing to unprovoked firing of Indian forces on 750 kilometers long LoC.
He said that India could not suppress the Kashmiris movement of self determination with military might.
He said that the peace in the region was linked with the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
