LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaquat Baloch Sunday said he feared the formation of a new East India Company with the handing over of the national enterprises to the multinational companies, Geo News reported.
Addressing pre-budget seminar here, Liaquat Baloch said that Pakistan economy would have to be run in an innovative manner. He urged upon preferring Pakistani investors to the foreign ones for denationalization of the state enterprises.
Liaquat Baloch said that the wedge among the government, army and media spurring political uncertainty in the country and advised the government to play its role for the restoration of peaceful environment.
